MeeSevaGovernment of TelanganaTelangana Rising

Accessibility statement

MeeSeva is for every citizen of Telangana – including people who use screen readers, magnification, voice input or a keyboard, and people more comfortable in Telugu than English.

Last updated: 1 October 2026

Our commitment

This portal is designed to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA and the Guidelines for Indian Government Websites (GIGW 3.0). Every page is tested with a keyboard, with screen readers (NVDA, TalkBack and VoiceOver) and at 400% zoom before release.

Accessibility features

  • Every page is available in Telugu and English – switch with the తెలుగు / English button at the top. Your choice is remembered.
  • Larger text with the A+ button, and the layout reflows on small screens and at high zoom without horizontal scrolling.
  • Everything can be done with a keyboard: a “Skip to content” link, visible focus outlines, and Enter submits every form step.
  • Forms have labels, clear error messages that say how to fix the problem, and move focus to the first field that needs attention.
  • Status changes (such as “OTP sent” or “Grievance registered”) are announced to screen readers.
  • Colour is never the only way information is shown – statuses also have text and icons, and text meets 4.5:1 contrast.
  • Voice search in Telugu and English on the home page, and your Aadhaar details fill forms automatically so there is less to type.
  • Animations are turned off when your device asks for reduced motion.

Known limitations

  • Some older certificates issued before 2020 are scanned PDFs without a text layer. Ask at any MeeSeva centre for an accessible copy.
  • The map on the “Find a MeeSeva centre” page is a visual aid; all the same information (address, distance, hours, directions) is in the list next to it.
  • Some department forms linked from service pages are hosted on other government websites and may not meet the same standard.

Need help or found a barrier?
